I sometimes wonder what was worse for him - the fire hoses that were turned on his slender body, the German Shepherds lunging at him, the verbal abuse of the police officer... or maybe the criticism he might have faced in his own community for his unwillingness to compromise?But given his physical testimony, can you REALLY say that you feel defeated and that you want to give up?
