The Feinstein 1200 is very pleased to announce that the September 14 Physician/Economist Seminar will now feature a short introductory presentation by Dr. John Bolton, an award-winning pediatrician in private practice and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at UCSF School of Medicine.
Most of us are aware that pediatric care is perhaps the most important investment we can make as a country, as it ensures the continuation of a healthy, productive adult workforce. But few are aware of the challenges faced by young parents in the current system.
"A teenager might get by with a yearly check-up," Dr. Bolton explains, "but the provision of medical care and immunizations to infants and toddlers cannot afford to be interrupted due to lack of family income and/or health insurance. And yet that is what is happening - even in the wealthier parts of the country, like the San Francisco Bay Area."
Previously announced speakers Dow, Jacobs, and Kahn are still confirmed for 30 minutes each, and the Q & A session will still go on for the full 30 minutes; check details here.
